Adding embroidery to a favourite dress

I have a “best dress” that I will be wearing to a family wedding. I have worn it to other family occasions and wanted to tart it up rather than buy a new dress. I used SueBox Taj border mirror Embroidery motifs and the taj central motif and put them together to make a whole.
When I sewed them out I sandwiched a layer of silk organza between layers of washout stabiliser. I used the organza because I was worried about washing the dress after sewing on the embroidery.
This idea worked well but was a bit of a nightmare trimming the organza around the margins.
Sewing the motifs to each other and then onto the dress were all a bit of a challenge at the time.
I am delighted with the results and am happy to post a picture which I will send as an attachment to the web site.
I used Hemingworth Huckleberry which was the best match for the fabric. Make sure you have a full bobbin for each motif.
